that isbn, I don't know (as I'm testing with unimarc)
but I just tried to search a title on bnf+sudoc, and got 30+ answers, from both
servers, and that work fine.

but... there is another bug that may explain your problem.
z3950 search stores the records in the reservoir. but the reservoir discarded
the already in DB entries. Thus, if your isbn was already in, the result was
empty.

I've fixed the problem : all results are always returned, whatever their status
in DB or reservoir.

let me know if it solves your pb now. However, It works for me.
