Surprisingly this is still the case in 3.4
While the XSLT result list shows 'On hold (1)' the detail record shows
'Available'.
I did a full reindex of my records after I put the item on the hold shelf.
I disagree with an earlier comment about the meaning of available. I think
available means it's on shelf, but not necessarily that it can be checked out
or placed on hold by the patron.
