Patch 1 - patch 1 the logic is wrong, this is a required fixed. It's broken
logic that works without really testing what it should be.

Patch 2 - Since MySQL has updated again, it has since corrected itself on
Ubuntu, but I haven't retested recently. So it may not be necessary. I'll
retest this later.
