Hi Katrin,
I believe Mike will agree with my answer so here it is... Let's say I want to
call Katrin Fischer in a well-formed czech letter. Please allow me to rename
you as Katka Fischerová. Then I would call you as "Ahoj Katko Fischerová". My
name is Radek Šiman and I would be called as "Ahoj Radku Šimane". So some
simple examples include:
Mike => Miku
Michal => Michale
Karel Nový => Karle Nový
Karel Novák => Karle Nováku
And so on, and so on... There's no simple rule for it. There are to ways to
solve this issue. The best one is to use a database (we have it as a free
service for libraries - please see bug 17718) of *all* known firstnames and
surenames to query for appropriate results or the other solution is to simply
enter the right version manually in (currently missing) fields.
