Is it an issue you have encountered or the behavior you would like ?
I can't reproduce:
 - Created a batch named Oct_FAW
 - Search for a record and import it
 - Check Oct_FAW in the "Save to" list
 - Save
 - "Batch: Oct_FAW" is not checked
 - "Oct_FAW: #<id>" is still checked

If the Batch was checked, clicking on save again would raise an error of
duplicate id.

“Save to” interface should return to only having the Batch selected, and should
not contain any record

Right. Currently the previous <batch_name>: #<id> is still selected. Not the
good behavior.
But which Batch we should select. The last we saved a record ?
