It would be great to get it in since it's a major fix, but I can understand
your reluctance. Would additional testing help? I'd be happy to apply 24642 and
13191 to 19.11.x, build a package, and test an install and an upgrade.

Are they using Debian packages? It should automagically work if they are,
although I could see it being a bit fraught if they're not.
