Hook::LexWrap is also black magic. Perl lets a person do all kinds of wild

Hook::LexWrap is widely used (and written by Damien), so it's not too bad

please have a look at it, if the idea makes sense for you I'll make it
pluggable (probably with something like Module::Pluggable)
