Yes, that could work as well. I forgot this possibility!

I've written some selenium tests to help us testing the different
patches/approach. I am running into the same problem I faced with Data::Session
and using the file driver:

  YAML::XS::Load Error: The problem:
    control characters are not allowed
  was found at document: 0
