Cronjobs are also a nightmare in containers and development environments in
general imho.

But I like what you're saying about not fetching the metadata every time. In
the past, I've cheated by manually setting up the endpoints, but that wasn't a
great solution.

I have to say Mark... you've got me excited about OpenID Connect again heh. I'm
tempted to do some work on this tonight.
