When testing this I think it would be good idea to verify if the behaviour with
QueryRegexEscapeOptions set to other than "Escape" value still works as
expected. Although I have come across many problems in the past already if
QueryRegexEscapeOptions doesn't have the "Escape" option set so I'm not sure
how it is actually even supposed to work with the other values.
