Hi Caroline, 

Thanks very much for testing. I've been trying to replicate (I use kohadevbox)
but unfortunately I haven't been able to so I have a few questions:

Q1. Could you please let me know are the tests you did above in the staff
client or the OPAC?

Q2. In step 5,6, and 7 if you right click, select 'Inspect element' then look
in the 'Console' tab do you see any errors?

Q3. If you try applying the patches in a sandbox
(https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Sandboxes) do you also still encounter
this problem?
