Also it seems that the behaviour is the same with our current widget:

* new patron
* tab to date of birth input field
* enter date with keyboard - ok
* try to use widget with keyboard keys/arrows - doesn't work

To me that makes sense. People preferring the mouse, will use the mouse to
handle the widget, but people preferring the keyboard, will probably want to
type the date directly.
