One could add for testing a line like this:

[% Koha.Preference('IndependentBranches') %] // [%
logged_in_user.is_superlibrarian %] // [% item.homebranch %] // [%
Branches.GetLoggedInBranchname() ) %] // [% Branches.GetLoggedInBranchcode() )
%] </br>

next to "SET can_be_edited" to see the actual values on the web page...
