I thought we could do it similar to account types, just with the addition of
allowing to overwrite the standard description. If the overwrite is empty, we
use what is in the templates. So we could keep the standard ones translatable.

For the table vs AV - I was didn't read far enough - sorry. 

But... if we are no longer translating an AV... shoudl this not be a little
easier in terms of 'hugeness' of development? Maybe it would be easier to start
here doing something similar than we have for itemtypes?
