This would be great to have. I think it would make the most sense to include it
as an optional free text field with the rest of the patron identity info. When
it’s added as an additional attribute, it’s far removed from that info, which
is where it would be most useful to have for patron interactions. Echoing
others in that the purpose would be less for collecting data and more for
informational purposes in the spirit of good service and inclusivity (for
example, knowing how to address a patron when calling them on the phone).
