I've been wondering too if it might be better to move Tomas' patches to
separate bugs and work on them there. 

I'd feel more comfortable with that approach as some of the patches like the
second follow-up for the ENUM touch a lot of the code. It all looks good, but
some things like the change to update_dbix_class_files.pl I was wondering about
(but don't want to add to the almost 900 comments here)

As the ENUM patch already includes an atomic update file it should be really
just a matter of moving them without having to change the patches themselves.

I think it will keep us from having to do more rebases that can also create
issues on big patch sets and then take on any further enhancements
incrementally.
