In a multi-location consortium some libraries will be closed while others are
open, not just on a day-to-day basis, but hourly. Some libraries open for half
days while others are open for full days. The holds queue cron job runs in our
case every 2 hours, continually. If a patron places a hold after their library
closes, the holds queue could cycle through several times before the next
opening.
