I think we had discussed this before and my feeling that putting
reservations/bookings on top of the holds system might not be the best way to
go as we already have so many moving pieces there and the goal is very
different. For holds the goal usually is: get it to the user as fast as
possible. For a reservation it is: make sure that the item is available at a
certain time slot and make sure the user gets it exactly then.
