Your assumption is correct. Though I haven't checked if other plugins have been
created/modified recently

EXAMPLE.pl correctly uses event.data.id so it does not need to be updated.

I think they should not be in this state as the issue discussed in not caused
by the patches (see bug 32853 comment 6)

I think it's preferable to backport bug 33744 instead of this one as 33744 does
not break compatibility.
As for the warning, there is one in the "release notes" field. It should be
enough, right ?

Regarding the DNA status, I intend to rebase the patches once all dependencies
pushed, not before.
