At the end of the day, I suppose the most important thing is that the Debian
packages are built correctly for consumers of Koha, and then the second most
important thing is that developers/testers are able to generate Koha installs
without too much friction. 

__Packages__
If Mason can look into how this will work with the existing community package
build workflow, that would be useful.

I need to do some other work right now... but I'll make a note to look at
building a package using these patches. 

__Dev/Test__
Maybe we should have a crack at testing this process. I was interested by
Jonathan's comment about using "watch" for dev/test.
