Hello Katrin,

I've worked on this recently, but I don't know how to deal with this new value
in dropdown. Should the form entry be disabled to prevent value change by
another library? Because this is the real risk in the end. 

Note that there is also the same kind of behavior on serials, on location
input.
I am curious to have the opinion of the community on these behaviors.
