Of course, we're open to follow-up enhancements atop this functionality.

An example of the API in use in practice can be seen in the trusted self
checkout development.. code visible here:

I'd be happy for a barcode based lookup option to be added somewhere into the
mix.. just need a clear and consistent way of exposing it.
