This is the intent of the patch. And I think this is OK because if you manually
type the separator/delimiter nothing happens, since it is automatically added.

Correct me if I am wrong but it appears like this happens with or without my
patch, right?

Maybe Bug 29477? Again, this allow happens without this patchset. But if you
think I should deal with it here I am happy to do so!
