I submited some strings in KOHA SK language thread but I don't know how to download theese files to my installation. I found offline translation files but there is still old date 18.1.2022, even I submit some strings week ago. What I have to do to download actual translation files, with strings submited by me? After a short translation period, they are then released as part of the new Koha versions. So the usual workflow is to update the translations and then update Koha to get the latest, without having to handle the po files yourself. I see that the option 'Download for offline translation' leads to directories with files for the different versions. I don't know what the exact process for updating these files is. Maybe it's related to the release schedule and not depending on string changes? Hope this helps, Katrin From katrin.fischer.83 at web.de Mon Feb 14 22:05:53 2022 From: katrin.fischer.83 at web.de (Katrin Fischer) Date: Mon, 14 Feb 2022 22:05:53 +0100 Subject: [Koha-translate] Updating translation files in KOHA In-Reply-To: <17df629e383d4d0fadc962a4670e42d3@tempest.sk> References: <1a0afafa-4b7e-feae-d7ea-09a55598a092@web.de> <17df629e383d4d0fadc962a4670e42d3@tempest.sk> Message-ID: <25bcb743-a416-79eb-6ec0-f33ec0f7b3f6@web.de> Hi Viliam, if you update Koha using the packages, the new translation files will be installed automatically for all your installed languages. There should be no need to run commands manually. This means it's the right time to head over to the translation platform: https://translate.koha-community.org/projects/ Reminder: if you add or change a translation in version 20.11, then you must also copy it to 21.05 and 21.11. Searching documentation about any string freeze for Manuals, I saw the french html version (for the Manual 21.11) had been updated in January ( https://koha-community.org/manual/21.11/fr/html/index.html). More generally, I'm still curious about translations workflows : why, when Koha (staff-prog, opac-bootsptrap, messages installer...) translations are updated (after a string freeze) isn't there the same work for its Manual ? I think it's too bad for people who translate the manual (they can't really see their work (nor edit it) and also for people who really need translations (the ressource exists but is no available). Is there any way to improve this ? I don't know if these lists are the right place to ask or if BugZilla is a better medium. Please, telle me :) have a nice day, Emmanuel Bétemps -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
