Subject: Reg: the error i am getting
while running perl
Hi,
This is Salma. I am trying to run
koha on my system. For that I have installed all the prerequisites (Apache and
MySql) and installed Perl and koha. But when I run koha from browser by typing
“opac” or “intranet” I am getting a page which is
pasted in the document. You can see the attachment for more details.
But I should get some
different home page for Koha. Could you please check and let me know. Is this
problem caused by Perl installation?
I have installed the following
1)
Apache_2.0.63-win32-x86-no_ssl.msi
2) mysql-essential-4.1.22-win32.msi
3) ActivePerl-5.8.0.802-MSWin32-x86.msi
4) koha-2.2.9
When I try to install “Active Perl5.8.xModulesForKohaR7.EXE”
I faced the following error
“Error:
neither 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/ActiveState/PPM//InstallLocation' nor
'HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/ActiveState/PPM//InstallLocation' found in registry
at C:\usr\bin/ppm.bat line 27.”
Then I reinstalled the “ActivePerl-5.8.0.802-MSWin32-x86.msi” in “C:\usr” (earlier it was
installed in ‘E’ drive) and
now I am getting the following error.
“
Error: No valid repositories: Error: 500 Can't connect to
ppm.ActiveState.com:80
(connect: Unknown error) at
C:/usr/site/lib/PPM/Repository.pm
line 84 “.
Could you
plese guide me how to resolve this problem. Is this related to CPAN. If I am
missing any Perl modules could you please let me know how to add them.
Also let me know whether it is needed to
install “Active Perl5.8.xModulesForKohaR7.EXE”
where as we already installed
“ActivePerl-5.8.0.802-MSWin32-x86.msi” .Could you please
clarify my doubt as soon as possible.
Regards,
Salma.
