It should be great be able to choose 1. Autonumber plugin for 001 2. Preferably so that Koha fills automatically the 001 with Koha biblionumber (biblio.biblionumber), if the 001 is empty. This should happen quickly after the biblio record has been saved. Another place to do this would be in the Koha to MARC mapping potentially...
Most fields allow for multiple mappings. A change to allow additional mappings for biblionumber and biblioitemnumber might be interesting...
