This patch deals with the current master code. It should be removed when patches for bug 11944 will be pushed.

Well, how can be tested? I don't have problems with Bsort1/2 utf8 descriptions, with/without patch. Can/Can't have utf8 values (arabic/chinese) with/without patch.
