It is present in MARC21 (245$b) and UNIMARC (200$e). The biblio fields which are passed to templates come from GetBiblioData function. This function get this information from biblio and biblioitems table. None of those tables contains a subtitle field. Did it exist in Koha previous versions and did it disappear?
