Based on the test plan in Bug 11677, I assumed items marked as Lost would count as not available and records with Lost items and all other items checked out would not appear when the "limit to currently available items" was selected. Is the "limit to currently available items" working or not working for others? If you search for available and a certain library, there will be an available item and one at the library, but it doesn't have to be the same item. The items get lost in indexing, as every item field is indexed separately.
