[Bug 1336] New: 2.2.8 - opac passwords can't be disabled by setting MinPasswordLength to 0
http://bugs.koha.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1336 Summary: 2.2.8 - opac passwords can't be disabled by setting MinPasswordLength to 0 Product: Koha Version: branch 2.2 Platform: PC OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Authentication AssignedTo: chris@katipo.co.nz ReportedBy: dalgity@htl.net QAContact: koha-bugs@nongnu.org Let me say that I firmly believe allowing patrons to have a blank password is a bad idea and I was jsut messing around with this setting. So the merit of fixing this is questionable but perhaps there's someone out there who wants to make opac passwords optional. In opac-passwd.pl if MinPasswordLength is zero then it uses a default of 5. This could be considered a feature or a bug. I thought possibly entering -1 might be sufficient to disable passwords and thus it could just be mentioned on the syspref page but it seems that it still requires a minimum of 1 character. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug, or are watching the QA contact.
