The broad themes are: - updating pages/tools that cause an outsized server/db load - preventing user actions that cause undue load - allowing containerization - allowing better tracking of errors and failures Because we like naming things, we've been referring to some of this work as "Lightning Greaves" (after the Magic: The Gathering card) and to some of it as "Pelennor Fields" (after the battle in Lord of the Rings).
