Take an item that is covered by both biblio and item level holds, where the pickup location is another library. Check it in, get the ILL notice and send it to the next library. Now if the item is checked in at another library, there are two boxes w/ feedback to the librarian, say for the title "The Magic Wings": ~ Please return The magic wings to SPL. Hold for... ~ Hold Found: The magic wings Hold for... Transfer to: Springfield This scenario could occur anytime the "matched" hold is cancelled while en route, or in an around-the-world courier box that makes the rounds to X, Y, Z branches sequentially.
