It looks like the inactive ones are a little smaller than the selected one, it would be nicer to have them slightly bigger, to make them easier to read. The active one is also in front and bold, I think that should be enough to make it stand out without the difference in font size. This makes the links the same size as the search form label. To test, apply the patch and rebuild the staff client CSS. On any page in the staff interface, test the appearance and behavior of the header search form.
