In reading through the bug it appears that Virginia Tech is sponsoring it.

It's been nearly 2 years, so I suppose the next step would be contacting Agustín Moyano and/or Virginia Tech about progress then. Many of us have a lot of tickets open on Bugzilla, so it can be hard to keep track of them all.
