[Bug 37516] New: Top level editcatalogue should not include edit_items_restricted
https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=37516 Bug ID: 37516 Summary: Top level editcatalogue should not include edit_items_restricted Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 24.05 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Cataloging Assignee: koha-bugs@lists.koha-community.org Reporter: bwsdonna@gmail.com QA Contact: testopia@bugs.koha-community.org CC: m.de.rooy@rijksmuseum.nl When adding top level Edit catalog (Modify bibliographic/holdings data) (editcatalogue) permissions, the subpermission Limit item modification to subfields defined in the SubfieldsToAllowForRestrictedEditing preference (edit_items_restricted) is automatically selected and should not be. Since that subpermission is intended to restrict cataloging, it is not a permission that top level users would need or want. Having that subpermission automatically checked causes a lot of "why can't I edit this". Preferable behavior would be to have that subpermission unchecked when the top level checkbox is selected. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
