I came here to QA this, then realised I wrote a bunch of the original code that was eventually rebased.

This is still a great thing to have and we've been using it in production in a few places so I'm happy it works.

I'll try to find a friendly QAer.

Just QA this plix? PM when you plan to do so. This is a big moving target and it is hard to keep it applying to master. We have a rebased version from two-three weeks ago I guess. No point in wasting time applying it here because it will just get stale.
