[Bug 3335] New: Ability to create lists of items with title/call number and save
http://bugs.koha.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=3335 Summary: Ability to create lists of items with title/call number and save Product: Koha Version: HEAD Platform: PC OS/Version: Windows 2000 Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 Component: Circulation AssignedTo: galen.charlton@liblime.com ReportedBy: dschust1@gmail.com Estimated Hours: 0.0 Change sponsored?: Sponsored We have a need to create lists of items and save that list on the Koha server for viewing only on the staff side. Next year the same list can be retrieved and sorted by title or call number - and then printed allowing the user to pull the books for use or to put with the cart of books so the teacher knows what they have. We would need a brief description to be stored, and it would be nice if there was a way to "filter" the lists by location when pulling them up rather than titling them 001 - South Dakota etc... As the list was created you would select the location, with a description, and title - scan the barcodes and they would be stored. It would also be nice to be able to Add titles or remove them from the list. Eventually this could develop into a possible batch change feature. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.koha.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla3/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

It doesn't matter whether the staff member views it on the OPAC or STAFF client. It won't be available to other OPAC users. Or do you really want a list of *items* and not *titles*? What kind of location do you imagine becoming part of the list metadata? Location = value from the item location field? Or branchcode? Or undetermined string input? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.koha.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla3/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.koha.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=3335 --- Comment #3 from David Schuster <dschust1@gmail.com> 2009-06-17 17:27:21 --- Private list is only available to the staff member that created it. Public lists are seen by students but neither offer call numbers for just your location. We need item information because I want the Call number from the location that created it as well as the title so I can go and pull those items from the shelf the following year. List filtering branches - would be the branchcode or building I don't know anything about an upcoming course reserves module - where can I get more info on that?
