[Bug 2629] New: Diacritics not being ignored when searching
http://bugs.koha.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=2629 Summary: Diacritics not being ignored when searching Product: Koha Version: rel_3_0 Platform: PC OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: major Priority: P1 Component: Searching AssignedTo: jmf@liblime.com ReportedBy: beverly.church@liblime.com QAContact: koha-bugs@lists.koha.org Koha is not ignoring characters with diacritics when searching in both OPAC and the staff client. For example, if you search for the French playwright "Molière", you will only find records if the term contains the grave (è) accent. You will not retrieve records with the terms "Molière" AND "Moliere". The problem is even more serious when you search authority records. If you have an authority record for Molière, you cannot retrieve the authority record at all. If you enter "Molière" or "Moliere", you will not find the authority. The only way to find the authority is to look for personal author names starting with "moli". ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug, or are watching the QA contact.
