[Bug 36361] New: Show warning about pending ILL requests when a patron is deleted
https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=36361 Bug ID: 36361 Summary: Show warning about pending ILL requests when a patron is deleted Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: minor Priority: P5 - low Component: Patrons Assignee: koha-bugs@lists.koha-community.org Reporter: katrin.fischer@bsz-bw.de QA Contact: testopia@bugs.koha-community.org CC: clemens.tubach@kit.edu, gmcharlt@gmail.com, kyle.m.hall@gmail.com, michaela.sieber@kit.edu, pedro.amorim@ptfs-europe.com When a patron is deleted and they have pending/undelivered ILL requests, we should at least show a warning, like we do with suggestions/holds. This is even more important until bug 32630 is fixed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=36361 --- Comment #1 from Jeremy Evans <jeremy.evans@ukhsa.gov.uk> --- We would support this. As most of the ILL requests are fulfilled within 2-3 days we would not normally want to delete a user who had been recently requesting items until they had a period of inactivity before the account was deleted. If an ILL request is pending then we would no longer know who to send the book/article to if the user record was deleted. If it had been pending for some time then we would also want to take the opportunity to cancel the request with the supplier to avoid any costs incurred to us for a request that won't be used by the removed user. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
