With severe budget cuts, many school libraries are only staffed a few hours a week. So much of the library circulation is done with self-checkout. In elementary schools the checkout process is simple and easy to use. However, using the self checkout as it is now for CHECKINs it too complicated for grade schoolers. self checkin: Log Into SelfCheckout with patron number, scan card, select Return this Item; Renew this Item or Cancel.
