[Bug 38604] New: ILL: Pre-populate status filter if only one backend in use
https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=38604 Bug ID: 38604 Summary: ILL: Pre-populate status filter if only one backend in use Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: ILL Assignee: koha-bugs@lists.koha-community.org Reporter: magnus@libriotech.no QA Contact: testopia@bugs.koha-community.org CC: pedro.amorim@ptfs-europe.com, tomascohen@gmail.com To populate the "Status" filter dropdown on the left side of the main ILL request table, you have to select the backend first. This seems unnecessary when there is only one backend in use. If this is the case, we should be able to populate the Status dropdown without any interaction from the user. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. Hi Magnus can you please provide more information? Is this on main? I've just tested this with 4 backends installed (+Standard). The 'status' dropdown is populated with all existing statuses, from all backends, by default. The backend dropdown is pre-populated to 'All backends'. This should mean that if you only have one backend you should be able to filter by any existing status from the get go, without having to select the specific backend. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=38604 --- Comment #2 from Katrin Fischer <katrin.fischer@bsz-bw.de> --- I think Magnus means that it offer "status" values without having to select the backend if you only have one, as this means extra clicks. I am not sure how possible this is going to be with Standard now always being "in the mix". For our use case most libraries would probably only use 1 backend, but ours and not Standard and might also like to avoid the extra clicks. The list and filters are used a lot in day to day. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. You are watching all bug changes.

This is what I mean, according to my testing, you don't have to do any extra clicks, as the status dropdown is pre-filled with all statuses, from all backends, by default. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. You are watching all bug changes.

Ah! Maybe some version thing? I'll let Magnus check. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. You are the assignee for the bug.
https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=38604 --- Comment #5 from Magnus Enger <magnus@libriotech.no> --- Looks like the behaviour I described is relevant for 23.11.10, at least. I have to choose a backend to enable/populate the status dropdown. On main, "All backends" are shown as default, and the status dropdown is populated/active. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. You are watching all bug changes.

Yes, I believe this was part of bug 34431 (pushed to 24.05.x). Closing this. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. You are the assignee for the bug.
