[Bug 992] New: Suggestions doesn't check wether a biblio exists
http://bugs.koha.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=992 Summary: Suggestions doesn't check wether a biblio exists Product: Koha Version: 2.2.0 Platform: PC OS/Version: Windows 2000 Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Acquisitions (Full) AssignedTo: jferraro@athenscounty.lib.oh.us ReportedBy: rachel@katipo.co.nz QAContact: koha-bugs@lists.sourceforge.net CC: rosalie@library.org.nz I'm not sure if this is a Koha bug, or wether there is some "librarian intervention" that should have happened - but the result I believe *is* a bug. I made a suggestion that the library should buy another copy of a book. IE I didn't assume that all suggestions would be for titles not already held by the library (or not in the resevoir). As the librarian I think Approved the suggestion - which I think is right, IE I thought another copy seemed a reasonable suggestion, and so went to order a copy. I'm using normal acquisistions, so I found my supplier, then clicked on "from suggestion" to get my title. AT that point in time I expected that koha would do a title search for me - to bring up the info we have already, or I'd get the option to get it from the resevoir or wherever - like normal, but it didn't. This seems like a functionality bug to me, introducing dodgly biblio entries. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug, or are watching the QA contact.
