Hi all,
I’ve opened up an issue to use Template::Toolkit’s WRAPPER directive to reduce template boilerplate: https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=30289
I’ve been using it for 7 years on a non-Koha project and it’s very handy.
And I whipped out a draft wrapper today and attached it to Bugzilla, because I was working on some custom OPAC pages and I was just getting tired of trying to figure out what a generic Koha page should look like in terms of HTML, CSS, JS, includes, etc.
By using 1 wrapper, I can just do it once, and not worry about it. I can just focus on the actual content for all my particular page-specific templates.
Anyway, have a look and let me know what you think. For a first step, we wouldn’t even have to replace every OPAC page. We could just start with opac-main.tt and then refactor as we go along.
