Hi all,

There’s an interesting Bugzilla report where someone was asking to use opac-ics.pl to provide automatic iCal updates to a calendar (like Google calendar) for due dates: https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=27305

The reporter is actually a patron at Huntsville-Madison County Public Library, which I think Bywater Solutions provides, and he worked out a clever – although insecure and suboptimal - way of making it work by passing userid and password as query string parameters.

From what I’ve read, for a private iCal feed, a provider (like Koha) would usually provide the user with an individual token that is used as a query string parameter.

I was wondering if anyone is interested in doing that work. It’s not at the top of my TODO list, but I was thinking a person could do it fairly easily using borrower_attributes and small changes to opac-user.pl and opac-ics.pl.
