This is my vote! I know it takes more work and more time for features
to be approved, but I'm for a more stable, tested Koha.
Nicole says it spot-on; the current process requires some more time, but it is *well* worth it, in terms of a running product, IMO.  +1 for option 1.

I also strongly approve of Chris's leadership of this transition phase--you've done a great job, Chris.  It's been an adjustment, for everyone, getting to the slightly-more-challenging process, but most folks I have talked to feel that it does make for a better product.
