Bernard,<br><br><br>My recommendation would be to assign all items in one &#39;section&#39; of the library to one item type, and base the rules on that.  Then, for your patron&#39;s searching, use the Collection Code to designate item &#39;types&#39; like Book, DVD, VHS, Oversize, etc... you can make the Collection Codes appear as the search limiter using the AdvancedSearchTypes system preference.<br>

A koha library I manage has multiple branches but the lending rules are based on sections within the library and all the branches have the same sections. The way I see it, the way to manage this is to change the circulation and issuing rules to use location rather than branchcode.<div>
