Hi all,

Daniël van Eeden, the person who releases DBD::mysql on CPAN and has push privileges to https://github.com/perl5-dbi/DBD-mysql, has said that he is no longer maintaining DBD::mysql.

That explains why Ubuntu’s package seems to just be stacking up patches on top of the last release from 2019. (I’m glad I don’t use DBD::mysql from CPAN. I do use DBD::Pg from CPAN but it’s much better maintained.)

Anyway, I’m asking for more information about the future of DBD::mysql, and thought I’d keep you all informed.
