I feel rather embarrassed that again a fellow US citizen (well, entity) is causing this sort of concern.

Thanks for the link on the community site to the donations page. I sincerely hope this can be worked out, or absent a solution, a suitably representative new name can be found if it can't.

(Should that latter become necessary, I'd strongly recommend arrangement of suitably legal safeguards in such a way that ensures the interested parties community as a whole has both the ability to protect and participate.... if only to avoid a repeat of the hassles.)

The gang at the Apache Software Foundation might also be a good resource for practical advice as well.

Is there anything else that can be done?
