Right. This would let us keep the same underlying MARC structure for all the records coming in, but put different interfaces on it for different cataloguers. The advanced, well-trained cataloguer could see the full MARC specification, while a librarian or volunteer without cataloging training could see a simplified screen for entering the kinds of items they're responsible for.
In my opinion, Koha has a very good UI for cataloguing.
However, this proposal is interesting because -if I'm not wrong- framework personalization could be up to the cataloguer level.
This will allow to rise productivity of cataloguers who know MARC rules very well.
