That's not a bug, that's a feature! But seriously, I think it would be good not to constrain custom due dates because you never know what you'll need to do: The example I always think of is accidentally returning and item that is long overdue and never returned (physically)--you want to put that back on the person's record the way it was originally. -- Owen

I agree that it is a feature and I can think of many good uses for it, I just think that maybe we need either to populate the due date for the return and/or if a date prior to todays date is enter that there is a check to ensure that someone has put a date in error. Just my 0.02cents
